September 9, 1996. O.Ya.Viro. Finite order invariants for real algebraic varieties.

Invariants of finite order appeared recently in topology of low-dimensional manifolds. Now they play a central role in the study of knots and 3-manifolds. They are distinguished by a regular nice behavior under passing from one object to another one which is adjacent in the space of all objects under consideration. In the talk, similar invariants of real algebraic varieties will be discussed.
