23 February 1998. B.B.Venkov. Perfect forms and the theory of spherical block designs. Many important lattices (among them the Leech lattice) has interesting properties; their vectors of the smallest norm form a spherical block design with good parameters. In the talk the general connections between perfect (in the sence of Voronoi) lattices and spherical block designs are discussed. These connections are based on the theory of modular forms.
