Earth sciences

Bio excerpt

As a step away from pure mathematics, I have been recently working in cooperation with Dr. Cyril Pshenichny on some applications of artificial intelligence techniques in Earth sciences. Based on Dr. Pshenichny's idea, we've developed a new way to represent knowledge tailored specifically to suit the needs of Earth science experts, the so-called event bush formalism. I'm currently working on extending event bushes to automatically handle spatial and temporal data and to allow event bushes to learn from data (currently in only very rudimentary forms).
